The Pacific Cup Tournament was launched in 2019.

Original Participating Nations were Samoa, Niue, Cook Islands & Pacific Maori. Held over one Sunday, the first tournament saw Under 10 - 14 boys and girls grades, in addition to Open Men and Open Women.

The purpose of the Pacific Cup is to provide opportunities for indigenous people to engage, celebrate and grow their respective culture and whakapapa.

In 2022, after two years of Covid-19 forced cancellations - we were able to finally welcome the return of our tournament over two days at Gallaher Park in Manurewa. Tonga joined our Pacific Cup village taking our total participating Nations to 5.

We followed this event with an even bigger turnout of (just shy of) 100 teams at Mountfort Park in 2023.

In 2024 we will present our biggest tournament to date, growing on the sucess of last year with a total of 110 teams registered to take part in Pacific Cup at Bruce Pulman Park this November.
